ClamBot Privacy Notice
Last updated August 22, 2026
ClamBot is a Twitch/YouTube extension that lets a broadcaster run card "claim sales" and giveaways during a stream, and lets viewers enter them from the extension panel or with a chat command. This page explains what information ClamBot collects, how it's used, and who can see it. See the Terms of Service for the rules around using ClamBot itself.
What we collect
When you enter a claim or giveaway through the extension panel, you're asked to share your identity via Twitch's own Identity Link permission. If you agree, ClamBot receives and stores:
- Your Twitch user ID and display name
- Which claim(s) or giveaway(s) you entered, and on which channel
- Whether you won, and any note the broadcaster adds about what you won (e.g. which card)
Entering through chat (typing a claim command) works the same way, using the display name and user ID Twitch or YouTube already attaches to your chat message — no separate identity share is needed there.
If you never click "Share my identity" and never use the chat command, ClamBot doesn't receive anything about you — the extension panel is still viewable without it, you just can't enter.
What we don't collect
ClamBot never asks for or stores your email address, real name, payment details, or any information beyond what's listed above. Any actual payment for a claimed item happens directly between you and the broadcaster, outside of ClamBot entirely — we don't process or see transactions.
How it's used
Entry data exists only to run the claim/giveaway it was submitted to: showing the broadcaster and their moderators who's entered, letting them draw a winner, and keeping a record of who won what on their channel. It's never used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose outside the channel you entered on.
Who can see it
Only the broadcaster and moderators of the specific channel you entered on can see your entries and winner history. Data from one channel is never shown to another channel's broadcaster. We don't sell, rent, or share this data with any third party.
How long we keep it
Entries and winner history stay in ClamBot's database until the broadcaster archives or deletes the claim/giveaway they belonged to. You can remove yourself from an open claim lot at any time using the "Pass" option in the extension panel.
Broadcaster and bot accounts
Separately, a broadcaster who sets up ClamBot's chat bot grants it a Twitch and/or YouTube OAuth token scoped only to reading and posting chat messages in their channel — used solely to recognize claim/giveaway commands and announce winners. These tokens are never used to post anything unrelated to that function.
Use of YouTube API Services
ClamBot's YouTube integration uses YouTube API Services. By using that part of ClamBot, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and you can find Google's own privacy practices at the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke ClamBot's access to your Google account at any time via Google security settings.
